Today, we designed our own Greek pots ready to make them out of clay next week!
Today was our very first Reading for Pleasure day!
We got to show ourselves as readers, show what we want to see in a book, show why we love reading and explore some of the books we have already read and explore new ones.
Oh, and of course we had a go at drawing Claude with Alex T Smith.
I can’t wait for the next one!
We have been using our concrete resources to make our number bonds to ten!
Today, we got to explore ALL of the books in our book corner and there were loads of them!
Which one did you pick?
In PE this week, we have been learning to pass and control ta football!
Week 1 and it has been fantastic to see all of your faces back in school!
We have started our new topic: The Mighty Greeks. We created a timeline and found out that the Greeks lived in separate states which were all known for something different. Sparta is known for its warriors, Athens is known for its artists and writers and Olympia is famous for the Olympics.
In English, we have read “What We’ll Build” by Oliver Jeffers and we used this as our inspiration for our first text. We built a tunnel that could take us anywhere and designed our very own place. We then wrote some beautiful setting descriptions!
In Maths, we have been using our concrete resources to practise our number bonds to ten and to work out the next number in our sequence.
I have been really impressed with all of your hard work and enthusiasm this week and I can’t wait to do it all again!
